About Jody

Jody’s love of herbs began in her teenage years when she became fascinated with the ability to heal common ailments with herbs and weeds from the garden.
She graduated from the Southern School of Natural Therapies with a Diploma of Applied Science – Naturopathy in 1997, and opened a multi-modality clinic in Warragul. She completed further study in 2006 through the University of New England obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Herbal Medicine. This course expanded Jody's traditional herbal wisdom as well as scientific evidence-based knowledge of herbs.
Moving her practice to Mirboo North in 2016, she then created her forever-home at Studio One Ten, 110 Ridgway Mirboo North in 2020. Jody is a member of both the Australian Natural Therapists Association and the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia.

Jody first discovered Aerial Hammocks 12 years ago and instantly fell in love with the playfulness of swinging around while exercising, as well as the deep traction stretches and the strengthening aspects.
She completed her first teacher training courses of Aerial Yoga in 2018 through Body Flow Yoga, and in 2019 with Antigravity Fundamentals 1&2 and has continued to increase her knowledge through further study with Camiyogair’s 200-hour aerial courses including Yin Aerial Yoga, and Artistry that includes flips and tricks.

Jody’s background includes gymnastics and dance from an early age. Bellydancing and burlesque added sensuality and confidence as an adult, and when there were no adult dance classes in Mirboo North, she started teaching Bellydancing herself. She loved Silks, and has dabbled in Pole and Lyra (Hoop) over the years, but loves the hammock above all.
